About Margaret Standing
Hi! I’m Margaret — a creative, passionate, and dedicated communications leader with 25 years of experience helping organizations tell their stories with clarity, purpose, and heart.
I hold a B.A. in Communications from Boston College and studied journalism at The Ohio State University. My career began in television news, where I learned the art of balancing tight deadlines and clear storytelling. But once I discovered the world of corporate communications, I was hooked.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with exceptional teams at companies including Wendy’s International, Bob Evans Farms, Designer Brands (DSW), Cardinal Health, and Bread Financial (formerly Alliance Data). Today, through my consultancy, Standing Communications, I serve as a fractional communications executive, partnering with organizations to elevate strategy, strengthen connection, and bring their stories to life — without the headcount.
At the heart of my work is a simple belief: good communication can move people and organizations forward. I’m grateful to help clients find their voice, tell their story, and share it with confidence.
